The process of making merit list for admission
First step (basis of CGPA): –
Merit list will be prepared by students 40% of the result of SSC or equivalent examination and 60% of the result of HSC or similar examination. These 2 results will add to the merit list.
Step 2 (Based on total marks obtained): –
If the CGPA (SSC and HSC examination) of 2 students is found to be the same, then their total marks obtained will be calculated. In this case, 40% marks obtained in their SSC or equivalent examination and 60% HSC or similar examination marks will be calculated in addition to their total CGPA. Then the merit list will be created.
Third step (age basis): –
If students’ total CGPA and total marks are found to be the same, their merit list will be created according to their age.
Calculate NU Honors 1st Year Admission Points:
CGPA: (SSC CGPA 5 * 40/100 = 2) + (HSC CGPA 5 * 60/100 = 3)
= 2 + 3 = 5 points
(SSC CGPA 5 * 40/100 = 2) + (HSC CGPA 4.80 * 60/100 = 2.88)
= 2 + 2.88 = 4.88 points
Symbols: – (SSC Marks 820 * 40/100 = 328) + (HSC Marks 810 * 60/100 = 486)
= 328 + 486 = 814 points
(SSC Marks 820 * 40/100 = 328) + (HSC Marks 860 * 60/100 = 516)
= 328 + 516 = 844 points
