Bangladesh Marine Academy Admission Result Notification 2014. Bangladesh Marine Academy 51st Batch Cadet Recruitment Examination 2014 has been published. Interested students can apply. Bangladesh Marine Academy has invited applications for three-year training courses for academic and professional courses. Bangladesh Marine Academy 51st Batch Cadet Recruitment Examination 2014 is based online.

Bangladesh Marine Academy Admission Result Notification 2014. The online application process will start on 24th August 2014 and end on 11th September 2014. Admission fee is Rs. Candidates will have to pay a charge to deposit in Sonali Bank. The written test will be held on 19 September 2014. Admission test will be held in Dhaka, Chittagong, Rajshahi and Khulna. The name of the center will be sent via mobile SMS.

Details of 51 Batch Cadet Recruitment 2014 are as under:

Under the Bangladesh Merchant Marine Officer and Rating Training, Certification, Employment, Working Time and Clock Keeping Rules 2011, Bangladesh Marine Academy has set up pre-qualification for the following application.

A. Eligibility of candidates:

i) Educational Qualification

  1. For SSC or equivalent (Science): Minimum CGPA 3.50
  2. For HSC or equivalent (Science): Minimum CGPA 3.50

In HSC exams, minimum grade in Physics and Mathematics should be CGPA 3.50 separately. And grade must be minimum CGPA 3.00 in English; However, if the CGPA is less then 3.00 will be accepted, if the IELTS score is 5.5.

  1. For A&O-level:

A-Level Certificate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics: (Minimum CGPA ‘C’ individually)

B. O-Level Certificate (individually minimum CGPA ‘C’) in five subjects including Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and English.

ii) Other qualifications

  1. Age limit: Maximum 21 years (year of application) as on 31st December 2012. Date of birth recognized as per SSC or equivalent examination certificate. Confirmation will not be accepted. Any candidate who gets more than one day will be rejected and no appeal will be accepted against it.
  2. Nationality: Candidates must be citizens of Bangladesh by birth or be certified by the appropriate authority for both male and female candidates as per national law.
  3. Foreign (male and female) applicants can also apply through their respective embassies.
  4. Marital Status: Unmarried.
  5. Height: Males 5 ′ -4 ” and females 5 ′ -2 ”
  6. Weight: Proportional BMI

B. Steps for selection:

  1. Written test
  2. Initial physical fitness test
  3. You are long-lived
  4. Eye examination:
  5. Color vision test:
  6. Health check

1. Written test (Dhaka, Chittagong, Rajshahi and Khulna)

(a) Subjects: Mathematics, Physics, English and General Knowledge

(b) Question type: MCQ (number of questions; 50X4 = 200)

(C) Duration: 2 hours (morning) for four subjects in one session.

Symbol: The overall pass mark is 50% which is 200 marks out of 400 and 40% pass marks in each subject.

(A) Written test: 80 marks in each subject (50X1.6 = 80) and total 80 x 4 = 320

(b) Viva Voice Test: 80 marks

(c) Certificate Marks: 100 (SSC: 50, HSC: 50)

(d) Total marks: 500 marks (written test and viva test)

2. Preliminary Physical Fitness Test: (Fit / Offit)

Event:

(A) push ups (10 times);

(b) Rope climbing: 6 m

(C) Running: 400 meters (maximum time allowed: 3 minutes)

(d) Standard swimming test: 50 meters and then floating 3 minutes.

3. Live Vocal: Interview (80 marks)

Assessed weight area

(a) Personality = 16

(b) Speech and expression = 16

(c) Intelligence = 6

(d) Knowledge = 16

(E) Extracurricular activities = 16

4. Eye sight test: up to 6/6 without glass for nautical branch and up to 6/18 for engineering branch.

5. Color Vision Test: Not normal or color blind

6. Medical Examination: As approved by an approved medical board.

Note: The final selection will be on merit basis only. 20 female cadets will be selected according to the merit of female cadets. The Authority reserves the right to change anything mentioned herein, if necessary.

Cadet Training Course:

  • 3 years Pre-C Nautical Science for Nautical Cadets
  • 3 years Pre-C Marine Engineering for Engineering Cadets

Also from National University:

  • 3 year Bachelor of Maritime Science (Nautical) for Nautical Cadets
  • 3 year Bachelor of Maritime Science (Engineering) for Engineering Cadets

Course duration:

24 months pre-sea training at the academy then 12 months at sea (sea service with salary)

Course Certificate:

Certificate of Pre-Marine Nautical Science or Pre-C Marine Engineering Certificate from the Academy and Bachelor of Maritime Science (Nautical / Engineering) Degree from National University

Cost of pre-sea training:

The total cost for training fees (initial two years), course fees, meals, study materials, etc. at the academy is currently over Rs. 4,00000.

ii. Cadets will earn an average of $ 500 per month while at sea in the 3rd year.
