No decision to close educational institutions: Dipu Moni
Dipu Moni said on Sunday that the government has not taken any decision to close the educational institution.
He said the government has not yet taken any decision on the closure of educational institutions due to the rising rate of Kovid-19 infection.
The minister was speaking to reporters after attending the inaugural function of the first special basic training course for assistant engineers of the Department of Education Engineering (Savar Zone) at the Bangladesh Public Administration Training Center (BPATC) in Savar on the outskirts of the capital.
Chief Engineer of Education Engineering Department Arifur Rahman and Rector of BPATC Ramendra Nath Biswas were present on the occasion.
A total of 29 assistant education engineers are participating in the two-month training course.
The minister also urged everyone to deal with the virus without following the hygiene rules.
He said the government would take a pragmatic decision to close the educational institution if the current Corona situation deteriorates.
Mentioning that the vaccination campaign of students is in full swing across the country, Dipu Moni said that if the educational institutions are closed now, the vaccination activities may be disrupted.
However, the government is monitoring the situation very closely, he added.
